Back to School

School is back in session.
We started back to homeschooling this week.  Gaby is in 2nd, Liana, 5th, and Acacia 7th.  They all seemed to be focused and motivated.  I am really enjoying teaching (learning as I go) and the challenge of getting all the classes in.  Larissa and Kim are teaching writing to the girls, which is a big help!
The school strike in Mundri ended a few weeks ago after about 2 months of no school.  It seems like there was good resolution between the government and the teachers.
Kim taught her first class in the primary class this week, English.  She would love to help teachers and offer training, but first she needs experience teaching 80 kids at a time.  She taught a song in English which they sung, talked about the vocabulary in, and wrote out in their notebooks.  Both the children and the student appreciated her teaching, which will be a weekly occurrence.
Christine will begin teaching physics in the secondary schools soon.
