Mvolo Mission

I (Michael) am just back from a four-day mission to the town of Mvolo.  The training was done primarily by South Sudanese church leadership, but they graciously allowed some of us American and Australian guests to participate as well!

120 pastors and church leaders attended leadership trainings, there were evangelistic outreaches in the evenings including showing the Jesus film to about 1,000 people. Many people came to faith in Jesus, and we rejoice that God is growing and building up his church here.

What amazing work! PTL! It is good to finally visit your blog after hearing so much about you over the past few years. We are good friends of Robert and Lois Carr (I, Bethany, actually grew up in Uganda with them, Jessica, their daughter is one of my lifelong best friends!) Anyway, my husband and I are now in Sudan as well. We were in Blue Nile State in a place called Yabus for 3 years but moved to Khartoum for the past year to further our Arabic language study. In June we move back to South Sudan where our hearts still are, this time to Melut in Upper Nile State since Blue Nile state is unsafe. We have a blog as well if you'd like to look us up. We'd love to connect with you someday. My husband's brother Jason Fader and his family just joined WHM to go to Burundi. Such a small world!
