Mudding

Our family was able to join in the preparations for next week's convention.  Thousands of people are expected to pour into Mundri for a Convention.  They are building houses for the guests.  Two layers of criss-crossed bamboo filled with broken bricks gives the structures strength.  Then mud holds it all together.

Dirt is dug and put into a pile.  Then water is poured into the dirt and it is mixed with a hoe.  The final mixing is done by hand, kneading the mud, adding just the right dry dirt to make the perfect consistency.
People take this prepared mud to the mudders who fling the mud onto the walls.  That was my kids favorite part!!!
