Scott W. arrived today! Exactly two years ago he was here in Mundri visiting, and wondering if this was the place God would have for him. He was then appointed to WHM in East Africa as a long term missionary, raised support and interned in Bundibugyo for 5 months. Previously, he had spent 2 seasons in Bundibugyo, and his presence was was a timely blessing during the Ebola outbreak.
He is trained as a Physicians Assistant and has a Master's in Public Health. He is gregarious and has a heart for young people. In Bundibugyo he was often surrounded by children and young men, pleased with the warmth they sensed from Scott.
For the first half of the year he will be able to focus on language learning and relationship building. He'll be spending nights in villages getting to know people and their way of life.
His gifts and interests are varied and we are excited about what God has planned for him.
