Warmly Recieved

Last night the Diocesean staff of Mundri slaughtered a goat and gave us a warm welcome.   Bishop Bismark felt that they wanted to officially receive us.    An intimate gathering of about 10 Moru ECS Staff members gathered.  The Dean of the Cathedral gave a welcome speech that reminded us of the rich heritage that the Moru people and those from overseas have enjoyed since 1920, and how they are happy to have us join them.  I was able to thank them for the open arms with which we'd been welcomed and how I look forward to the blessing of getting to know them and learning from them.  Michael also thanked them all and appreciated them for their love of the gospel and active care of their community.   He says that the more he gets to know them, the more he is pleased with their heart and vision.  After the Bishop's speech and prayer, we all gathered in the round, lit pyat for the meal.  Huge Mundri oranges, goat grilled, stewed, loads of rich greens, bread.  It was a wonderful feast, and a pleasure to share it with those whose lives God has begun to intertwine with ours.
