My kids have recently watched the animated movie, Kung Fu Panda a ridiculous amount of times. They have decided that Kung Fu is fascinating and have begun making up their own warm ups and Kung Fu lessons. There has been a population of about 40 Chinese in Mundri over the past few months. One of the men, Xia, is a follower of Christ and we’ve spoken to him at church a few times through his elementary English (since my Chinese is non-existant).
He visited us this week to say that most of them are now leaving and he wanted to say goodbye. He kindly gave us the remainder of his Chinese medications and a pair of Kung Fu slippers. My children’s eyes opened wide. He willingly gave a brief Kung Fu demonstration in our yard for their admiring eyes. They’ve rewatched the clip we got on the camera again and again. That was the highlight of the week for Acacia, Liana and Gaby. We wish Xia a safe journey home to his family in
