Larissa's Outing

Larissa is back from her 8 day trip with Vicki to her home village.  Supposedly over a thousand people had come for the burial, Larissa was warmly welcomed into the group.  She was able to see a few latrines being dug, a cow being slaughtered, learned how to keep bees and cook the basics of Sudanese fare.  She slept in a house, a tukul and under the stars.  Being immersed into that huge family was a great experience for her. She felt that she connected well with people, made friends and added greatly to her Moru vocab.

She seems to have caught the flu and is now taking it easy back at home with us.  Click on her blog on the sidebar for her version of the adventure.
